Counter Jungling
Dr. Mundo Vs. Top Tier Junglers:
Alistar has one of the best ganks in the game and his Jungle Clear Speed is decent, but he is mostly known for his ganks considering he has a knock up and knock back. When it comes to Counter Jungling Alistar with Dr. Mundo, you should be able to kill him or scare him off if you catch him in his jungle, but if you see enemy champion's coming towards your way, get out as soon as possible, because Alistar's CC is good enough to get you killed if his allies help him.
Trundle is a top tier jungler, and has a decent Damage Output and pretty quick Jungle Clear Speed. Trundle's Ganks are pretty good considering he has a pillar that slows enemy champions and they have to walk around it as well, so if Trundle is able to land good pillars it will probably result in a kill. When it comes to Counter Jungling Trundle with Dr. Mundo, you will definitely have the upper hand since Mundo has a much higher Damage Output than Trundle, but if you see enemy champions coming towards you, try to get out as quickly as you can before its too late and Trundle uses his Pillar.
Lee Sin is arguably one of the best junglers at the moment. When it comes to Counter-Jungling, if Dr. Mundo gets caught by Lee Sin in Lee's Jungle or your jungle, you will most likely fall to Lee unless one of your teammates comes to assist you, because Lee's damage output is greater than Dr. Mundo's, but if you are able to dodge Lee's Q, you may be able to kill him in a one-on-one situation. Lee Sin's ganks are also amazing, but they rely on him landing his Q most of the time, because if Lee misses his Q when ganking, there is not much else he can do.
Nocturne is also a great jungler, and has decent ganks prior to level 6, but once he gets his Ultimate, his ganks are pretty godly since he can jump on an enemy champion from a far distance. When it comes to Counter Jungling Nocturne with Dr. Mundo, it could go either way, but if Nocturne doesn't have Exhaust and Mundo does, Mundo would be able to take and possibly kill Nocturne, but always be careful and see if enemy champions are converging on your point.
Skarner has an underestimated Damage Output, because Skarner's Q combined with Sheen does a significant amount of damage. His Jungle Clear Speed is pretty quick and his ganks prior to level 6 are okay, but once Skarner gets his Ultimate, his ganks are amazing since he can suppress the enemy champion and drag them back and then infinitely slow them. When it comes to Counter Jungling Skarner with Mundo, it could go either way, but make sure Skarner doesn't have his Ultimate up because he can easily ulti you to his teammates and get you killed.
Rammus' Jungle Clear Speed is decent, but his ganks are pretty good if he is able to slow the enemy and taunt them, which almost always guarantees a kill. When it comes to Counter Jungling Rammus with Mundo, Mundo can take Rammus in a 1vs1. Be careful and check if enemy champions are converging at your point because if they are, quickly try to get away because once you get taunted by Rammus it may be too late.
Shyvana has a pretty quick Jungle Clear Speed and has decent ganks prior to level 6, but once Shyvana gets her Ultimate she has somewhat better ganks, but Shyvana doesn't really have any Crowd Control. When it comes to Counter Jungling Shyvana with Mundo, Shyvana probably has a higher Damage Output than Mundo as long as Shyvana's W is up, but if you try to juke Shyvana until her W goes away, you may be able to kill Shyvana. Always be careful and when you see enemy champions converging at your point, quickly run away and try to get away without dying.
Udyr is one of the fastest junglers, meaning he has one of the fastest Jungle Clear Speed. Udyr's Damage Output is pretty good too because of his R. When it comes to Counter Jungling Udyr with Mundo it might be tricky because Udyr has a stun, a shield that restores HP, and his Phoenix Stance which does significant damage every third hit. So if you get caught by Udyr in his jungle it could go both ways, but in a 1vs1 fight Udyr would probably win.
Tactics
Ganking
This is why the Jungler is one of the most important roles in the game. Besides keeping tracking of all the jungle timers, warding, and clearing the jungle, the most important job of a jungler is ganking. Ganks are the primary sources of kills during the laning phase.

Top Lane Ganks
Gank 1: That's a lane gank for top lane which means that you tell your top laner to push the lane so you can sneak into the top bushes unseen. Then you wait for the enemy champion to overextend a little, that's when you go in.
Gank 2: That's a river gank, which is a basic gank. All you have to do is hide in the river bush until the enemy champion overextends a little, that's when you go in for the kill.
Gank 3: That's also a river gank, but this time you go around and gank the enemy champion from behind, so if they try to run you can throw some Qs at them from behind and kill them..
Mid Lane Ganks
Gank 4 and 7: Those are ganks where you sneak up behind the enemy champion and throw some Qs at them from behind if they try to run away. This gank is reliable if Mid Lane is a frozen lane meaning all the minions are in the middle of the map and neither of the two champions are overextending, so you can sneak up from behind and kill the enemy champion.
Gank 5 and 6: These are river ganks, which is when you go in from the side and jump on the enemy champion. This gank is unreliable if the lane is frozen meaning all the minions are in the middle of the map and neither of the two champions are overextending.
Bot Lane Ganks:
Gank 8: This is a river gank, which is a basic gank and all you do is charge and and try to kill an enemy champion.
Gank 9: This is a lane gank, which is when you tell your Bot Lane to push, so you can sneak into the bottom bushes unseen, and wait until the enemy champions overextend so you can go in for the kill.
Warding
Wards are an important part of the game, and can basically even carry you to victory :P. Wards are the most Overpowered items in League of Legends because they grant vision in a specific area for three minutes, so you can know where the enemy is, when to initiate, or if they are going to gank you.

Red - Places that should be warded throughout the game
Orange - Places that could be warded that would tremendously help out your team
Grey - Places that could be warded, but are not completely necessary to.
Tips and Tricks
Crumbzz playing Jungle Mundo
Synergies and Counters
Synergies
I feel like these three champions go pretty well with Dr. Mundo, and don't get me wrong there are other champions that go well with Mundo, and you may disagree with the three I picked, but this is just my personal opinion. Any CC allows Mundo to be able to hit his Qs more often, because if the enemy champion is slowed or stunned, it's almost impossible to dodge Mundo's Q, and Mundo's Q can be spammed again and again, so once your hit by it once, its going to be hard to get away.
Counters
All three of these Champions have one thing in common which is that they can cut the Health Regeneration of an Enemy Champion by 50%, so when Mundo uses his Ultimate and one of those three champions use their skill that reduces Health Regeneration, Mundo will regenerate only half as much Health Points, which is a tremendous difference, since Health Regeneration is very important for Mundo.

Posted 4/26/2013 4:28:14 PMSo all the mundo guides have mundo speccing into armor pen masteries which I don't understand... I've been playing Mundo jungle a lot and doing fairly well but my end game dmg on minions or champs is always like 75% magic 25% physical so if he is does more magic dmg why spec for physical pen?

Posted 4/11/2013 5:39:40 AMjust wanna ask why Saintvicous does not take Wanderer masterie in utility tree.I play jungle and think that junglers need additionaly movespeed when they got no boots cuz of faster moving through the jungle and with higher ms there is bigger chance to do countergank, same for counter jungling. If u are fast enough u can catch counter jungler in your jungle and protect your camps and buffs.Sorry for english :D

Posted 4/11/2013 8:49:38 AMIf the movement speed buff was applicable always, I'm sure it would be more viable. A 2% increase in between camps and when going into lanes isn't too much, plus you lose this buff whenever you enter combat

Posted 3/26/2013 11:38:37 PMWhy not Machete as a starting item? And then build into Ancient Golem? The item gives you health, hp regen, increased damage to minions and monster AND Tenacity. Perfectly Viable for Mundo In my opinion.

Posted 2/26/2013 9:13:06 PMI'm surprised this build doesn't have a locket in it. The #1 jungling item for tank stats at the moment, and mundo doesn't get one?

Posted 4/18/2013 1:59:32 PMRunic is honestly just a bit better for tanking. In my personal opinion, I would get locket only if it's not present in your team, and someone else has a runic bulwark already.

Posted 2/24/2013 8:51:42 AMI think you should update item section.
Current core items: Spirit's Visage > Aegis of the Legion > Warmog's Armor
What text below actually suggests: Ninja Tabi > Kindle Gem > Aegis of the Legion (+ Warmog's Armor) > Spirit's Visage
Thing is that people in general look at pictures more than they read texts. I think you should make text shorter and instead show every step of the core build with pictures instead.

Posted 4/18/2013 2:01:21 PMMundo has a built in Sunfire Cape with his W. While it does give an extra bit of damage, at the end of the day the Zephyr will net your more damage. And honestly that is the only item you could possibly replace without hurting his overall build.

Posted 1/31/2013 2:48:29 AMHi I believe there is an error in the Rune, Masteries, and Summoner Spells section. In the defensive tree the masteries have been updated to allocate points from the previous Hardiness, and Legendary Armor for Unyielding, and Block. But it is missing the explanation for Unyielding, and Block and still has the previous Legendary Armor explanation.
Thank you for your time and keep up the good guides.

Posted 1/30/2013 3:36:39 PMMasteries in quick guide are not working. Also, seems like you haven't updated descriptions in main masteries. And the movie you linked to is a 50 minute game without any sounds (copyright infringement) so that should be change too, doubt anyone would have the patience to watch that without sound.
