Strategy
Laning phase
Fiddle at level 1 is a VERY strong team fighter / small team battle fighter. The bounces from your E do A LOT of damage and you should always play offensive with them. Try and get a bounce on any target stupid enough to challenge you early. For the actual laning phase vs any squishy or weaker targets ALWAYS throw your E literally every time it's up. Yes this pushes the lane a little bit sometimes but if you manage to get off good bounces it will win you the lane ultimately. Be aggressive but also realize you're a very squishy champion. Learning how to balance when to be aggressive and when to be passive is a bit challenging but once you learn it people will surely fear you.
Mid Game
The key to having a good mid game is utilizing your ultimate correctly because at level 11 your ultimate will do A LOT more damage. This is the most effective time to clean up fights with Fiddle because people have started to get items but aren't that fed yet and your base damage can be very devastating. Your whole goal is to peel for your carries at this point with Fear and Dark Wind. YOU ARE BY NO MEANS TO INITIATE WITH YOUR ULTIMATE. YOU HAVE LIMITED ITEMS AND YOUR ULTIMATE IS TO BE COMBO'ED WITH OTHER AOE ULTIMATES OR THE CLEAN UP CREW ROLE! I am sorry for the caps but I had to stress that point. You can harass with Dark Wind when able too. Try and catch people who may walk out a little bit too far when poking / trading with enemies, but for the most part sit back, relax, make sure your carries and team mates are safe, and when everyone is around 1/3 to 1/2 HP use that ultimate and just CAWCAWCAW all over them :D
Late Game
Playing into the late game for the most part is really about the same as playing mid game. You will however have to be a bit more cautious when using your ultimate in team fights as you will most likely be a bit more squishy as enemy carries turn into super carries late game. So tread lightly but use the same type strategy going into mid game as you do going into late game.
Tactics
Peeling
Fear is the strongest single target CC in the game and the CD is somewhat high so you have to use it wisely. Remember to try and pick someone out, a vital target ONLY IF, they're dumb enough to come at you. Otherwise save it for peeling because once it's gone you won't be able to use it again.
You also have Dark Wind at your disposal. This can be great if combo'ed correctly with your Fear which can give you a MASSIVE amount of lock down on targets. Try and not use them at the same time on the same target if you can. Spreading out the CC makes it last longer. That may sound redundant but even I find myself stacking it sometimes so be sure to take your time to do it right!
Pink Warding the lane for control
Fiddle is a support that if or when you get ahead of the enemy team you can DOMINATE the lane and zone with ease. So if you've poked enough, picked up a kill, or even just got them low. Carry a pink ward to place it in the lane brush to take over control if they've warded it. Doing this will allow you to the Dark Winds and auto attack / zone the enemies out.
Your Level 6 Advantage
Your ultimate is extremely strong and if you do that exact same thing with the pink ward, or at least have the element of surprise standing in a brush that's not warded you can 100% - 0% the enemy with your very powerful burst and CC combination. Fiddlesticks does A LOT of damage at 6 and you can capitalize on foes that get to close or jump out of the brush and exploded their faces. Commonly the enemy ADC will take cleanse vs a fiddle lane so it might be best to target the support over them in this situation. Or you can bait it out with your long fear duration before hand making for a very easy kill at 6.
Tips and Tricks
Flash is your Friend :D
A lot of the time I use Flash combined with my ultimate to land my ultimate's at greater distances. You have to remember that your ulti is a CHANNELED spell meaning it takes time before it goes off and you can and will get interrupted if you do it in a poor spot. Sometimes you won't be in the perfect position to ulti so don't be afraid to pop flash to make up those distances for well timed CC on enemy carries and the extra clean up DPS in which I talked about prior.
Flashing Over Walls & Coming Right Back IN!
Now this one can be tricky to pull off but is certainly a cool move when you can pull it off. If you're being chased or having to deal with enemy champions don't be afraid to flash over a wall to get your ultimate off because guess what.. Crowstorm has a BUILT IN FLASH! Which can and will take you right back into the enemy team ensuring you get the full channeling duration off.
Synergies and Counters
Synergies
Amumu: He is a great champion to go with Fiddlesticks because of his great initiation combined with the power of his ultimate locking down AND reducing enemy MR. He pretty much sets you up to knock them all down in one big area of effect. The damage and CC combination of these two together is just fantastic!
Morgana: She synergies well with Fiddle for a few reasons. Her kit just flows perfectly with Fiddle. Her snare combined with your fear makes locking down and catching targets incredibly easy. He shield can help you get off your Crowstorm with ease and her ultimate similar to Amumu's basically sets you up to knock em down just the same.
Zyra: Just the same as the two above this girl locks down enemy champions for you to come in and clean up. I find her to actually be the best combined with Fiddle due to her massive amount of AoE CC and damage which basically goes hand n hand with what Fiddle does.
Counters
Cho'Gath: Now Cho isn't a direct counter to your lane but this champion can and will give you a lot of issues if he's able to get close. Just like you he has a large amount of CC as his disposal and you being a squishy caster support won't help you out in this situation. If he manages to land a rupture on you it's usually pretty much GG so be sure to keep your distance and not get in range of his rupture or his silence.
Blitzcrank: This is most likely your ultimate foe in lane because of how naturally tanky he is and the amount of single target CC he can use to punish you. If you get hooked you're most likely just going to die so be sure to stand behind the creep wave at all times and try and not let him take too much brush control by using pinks and other wards to gain some lane control back.
Leona: Similar to Blitzcrank but not as bad because the zoning power in my opinion isn't as much pressure as Blitz can dish out. Leona can be feared away due to her range not being as great as Blitz but DO NOT TRADE WITH HER! Your job vs this lane is to peel and just farm. Using Dark Wind to stop any engages that you can see. WARDS ARE YOUR FRIENDS! DO NOT LET HER TAKE LANE CONTROL!

Posted 3/28/2013 8:41:23 AMAs I was reading this guide I though this is what the author was thinking to himself
"I"m just goina take this from this guide alittle from this one and a little form this one stick them all together and call it an new guide."
I think I typed more typeing this comment than the author did the entire guide.
I wish they took people opinions than just saying O ure not lvl 30 and not ranked you cant write a guide. But now we have to stick to guides that suck because they wont take the time to actualy try and work on them. But the people that actualy want to write a guide can't cause were not lvl 30 and rated. They need to let people that know how to play a champion very good but not lvl 30 and ranked write guides just because there not ranked doesn't mean they can't play, it's just because there newer to the game.

Posted 4/26/2013 10:25:57 AMI highly doubt you're anywhere close to good enough to write a guide but if you want to write a guide there's other sites out there for that. This is the site for team curse and who ever they allow to write for them. As for this guide, I honestly don't see what wrong with it. He goes over the skills and item build pretty well and he even tells you how you should play out your laning phase.

Posted 2/14/2013 7:59:23 AMherp derp, all the skill descriptions and half the guide reference zhonya's and jungle fiddle. Way to copy paste an old jungle guide and present it as a "pro support fiddle guide"
That's a disappointing thing about pretty much all of these curse guides, none of the pros actually care enough about the guide to write a good one or update it for season 3. I'd rather see lower ranked players who submit quality guides featured here than cheap pro player recycling jobs.

Posted 1/16/2013 12:31:45 PMWhy not turn Kages Lucky Pick into Twin Shadow's. If you jump into the middle of everyone, you can use the ghosts to slow the enemies. You can peel with it aswell.

Posted 2/3/2013 12:17:48 AMSupport fiddle; your not really using your ultimate to initiate. You use it to just clean up - you will be too squishy until late game.

Posted 3/4/2013 9:32:55 AMI'm just gold level so take that into consideration, but I get Twin Shadows on support Fiddle every single game. I aim for a build of Ruby Sightstone, Shurelya's Reverie, Twin Shadows, Abyssal Scepter and Zhonya's Hourglass. I hardly ever get any of the two last items, but I don't feel that squishy equipped with stone+reverie. IMO shadows is a MASSIVE item for Fiddle.
True, you don't initiate with support Fiddle, but that's not where the utility on Shadows ends. I use it before a teamfight to let my team catch up and initiate, or after a teamfight so the team can catch up and do cleanup.

Posted 12/8/2012 7:54:06 PMLike the guide, but why no artificer in the utility tree? You build 3 items that have actives. All you would have to do is drop Improved Recall and Scout, and you could pick it up easily, is it really not worth it?
