Pros and Cons
PROS
Relatively safe pick in current top lane meta.
Tanky and mobile bruiser with sustain.
Hard to lock down or cc due to passive.
Can deal true damage, physical damage, and magical damage.
Easy to farm with if not countered.
Extremely versatile with item builds and counter-builds.
Could someone tell me how to build Irelia with Blade of The Ruined King because i think with zephyr and trinity she is too squishy so if someone knows please inform me.
With the arrival of Blade of the ruined king i go Attack damage/armor penetration reds and movement speed Quints. Attack speed runes synergise with maxing E while Armor penetration/AD synergises with maxing Q.
Basically, max Q if your opponent has a lot of different disengages etc. Max E against melee champions.
Dont expect me to answer a lot of these questions since its no longer in my hands.
For maxing order, you always want to take E over Q, it provides increased utility. Also, the reason you dont want to max Q before E is because it scales off AD more than levels and so the only real benefit you gain from leveling Q is a decrease in cooldown, not really as good as the slow/stun increase time and increase of damage on your E . To go really in-depth and work with the build, if you take Frozen Mallet, you slow for 1.5 seconds for 40%, on auto-attack, being able to refresh that 1.5 second slow with your Q every 6 seconds if you max it first. If you max your E first, you slow for 60% (or stun) for 2 seconds while dealing additional damage, every 8 seconds, PLUS the slow off of frozen mallet.
While your E comes off cooldown 2 seconds later than your Q, because of the AD scaling on Q, you do enough damage with it already. You would max E first to get increased damage on your combo and also to get an increase in CC.
Also, you want to take flat AD mainly because it lowers early-game kill time and allows for a higher burst damage through the game. The only time that AS would work is if the enemy team is very tanky and can survive initial burst damage, meaning that you have to put out consistant DPS.
the new BotRK is pretty amazing on her. it gives her everything she needs as well as lifesteal. its a pretty good item to rush when you're ahead in lane as it gives you that ability to stick to your target with the active slow as well as lifesteal for staying in lane longer.

Posted 4/9/2013 3:11:10 PMMaybe you can do the Mallet + Zephyr combo except replace Zephyr with BotRK?
I wouldn't know since I'm not high ELO but it kinda makes sense to me since a lot of the stats are similar except CDR and tenacity.

Posted 3/19/2013 5:01:09 PMthe attack speed runes are for the 5 seconds that you get true damage.. so you probably don't want the trades to be longer than that.
