This build guide for Morgana is for mid lane and is by Nyjacky, a platinum rated player on League of Legends. Morgana is a strong mage with a unique skillset. Her Dark Binding (Q) can be the best initiate in the game. Very strong AP Carry.

WoTA is very team comp dependent, especially on morg. Most of her kit is AoE damage which has less heal. It does work well with her passive, but it should not be used unless it can benefit your team.
I don't mind that the masteries on the quick guide were updated for the upcoming patch but i feel this update could've waited until like the day/night before the patch for all the season 3 changes :/

I think the point of maxing tormented is for the reduction in MR on your opponent, the additional hp regeneration gained during laning phase from spell vamp, and the damage scaling is better than dark binding in team fights. If you're pre-8 and it takes longer than 2 seconds for your team to get on a binding, you're probably out of place.

Get three levels in it and then max Q.
You'll have enough damage to get Caster minions still and more raw burst overall with your Q.
