NOTE: The ability on Nunu level one is highly dependent on game-play. You should not level your first ability in your fountain. You should wait until the last second to level it up.
If your team is invading and you want to assist taking the enemy jungle; then going conume is not a bad option.
If your team goes for level 1 fight, you will in most circumstances take snow ball. Also typically in laning phase, you will want to take snowball and always use it on the enemy AD carry to reduce their attack speed in trades.
Lastly, deciding when to level up your consume for the first time is highly dependent on how the laning phase is going. Sometimes you will need to level this up to sustain in lane for the additional health. Also; if your noticing that your snowball is very ineffective and your just simply taking too much harass to even use it in lane - then sometimes I will level up consume so that I can take damage in trades and then heal it back up quickly to then trade again. It's a tank - damage strategy that can work in the laning phase.

Attack and Movement speed buff on AD carry is simply amazing (arguably best in the game for AD's)
Snow Ball reduces attack speed; which is great for team fights.
High mobility for clearing wards

If your AD carry dies and your running double AP; nunu's bloodboil is rather usless in team fights.
I tried this guide, i changed the masteries alithel, but i liked it alot i got 3/4/18 and the zekes harald really works alot here because of the AS u give you're adc. I bow my head in the dust for this guide Elementz, thumbs up!
The stuff about the ultimate being used as an AOE slow instead of the massive damage chunk shot it is, makes me doubt Nunu's viability as a support. Building him as a support in effect removes the viability of one of the most powerful ultis in the entire game :(
