But...but...like every other guide out there, the oddone and others all go with machete on shyvana. And I mean when's the last time saint played shyvana? He used to main her but not anymore Just look at the item build... Who gets black cleaver on a champ with primarily magic damage? I mean yeah the CDR helps and maybe the armor shred helps the team, but her E already shreds armor and there are many cooler and more beneficial choices like the new zekes

I have a decent amount of Shyvana games in now, I'm 1510 in 3s with her 8-0, and I was curious as to everyones opinion on Ionic Spark. It seems as if it does more damage in team fights than Wits End, and if you use your Q while in Dragon's Descent it instantly procs if you cleave 2 additional opponents. I found that with Ionic Spark, Wit's End and Sunfire Cape, along with W and E gives you a massive amount of magic damage that most teams won't expect from a Shyvana.
I go Wriggles, Merc/Tabi, Aegis, Wit's if they're heavy magic, Spark if not, Sunfire, and then Wit's or Spark, whichever you didn't get. This build is for 3s, and for the most part it's fairly cheap, I find her AoE burst is unreal so I just wanted to share this with all of you, feedback is appreciated.
Ionic spark is a fun item imo. Wit's is so much better in general. i understand that you aren't saying ionic is better than Wits, but for cheaper gold, you actually do more damage and gain tank stats. Also it's a waste of an item slot for a champion that i believe is very item dependent once mid game transfers to late.
I would never use this build in 5s. You're absolutely right, it doesn't transfer to late game at all. In 3s there is no late game though. I'm simply sharing how I got to gold in 3s in a day with everyone. I think that's valuable knowledge to share ^.^
I recently picked up Shyvana, I bought her yesterday, and I'm 4-2 in ranked (1300 elo). If I need to carry a game what should I build early game? Should I stick with the builds in the guild, obviously building Wit's End first, or should I deviate a bit? I feel like Phage. I did carry my last game with Brutalizer early but I feel like the Arm Pen is wasted with all of her Magic Damage. The E's armor shred is applied prior to the Arm Pen, yes? Which makes me think it's not too terribly bad. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I really cheesey damage build for Shyvana would be Gunblade, Sorc Shoes, Triforce or Frozen mallet, Sunfire Cape, Wits End, and Haunting Guise. I don't recommend it but Gunblade seems like a decent dmg item on her. Maybe even Black Cleaver~
