Pros
She has very high damage output burst at early levels in lane
Her auras are significant in lane, providing massive buffs to duo lane partner
High mobility with the passive from her (E) skill which increases her map mobility to control map visability and go in and out of team fights appropriately
She has an AOE Stun ability that sets up nicely for AOE team comp teams
A lot of versatility with power cord options (using the correct option in the right situation. ie. slow over damage in some instances)
Cons
Consumes a ton of mana, have to be careful of over-casting
Can accidently steal CS from duo lane partner with power chords
*Sona has no true counterpicks. I've listed Caitlyn as she can take free hits outside of Sona's Hymn of Valor. Kill lanes like Blitz / Alistar have potential to countering her playstyle.
Even in an aggressive build would you consider an early 1 point in Song of Celerity? I prefer to queue it up for my power cord so my adc can rip theirs apart. Early meaning something like lvl 5. The heal is more worth it at 3 to sustain their poke.
I'm undefeated with a build that uses Icebound Gauntlets (7 wins 0 losses). I can actually carry with it reliably and maintain a support role. I highly recommend people testing some Icebound Gauntlet builds themselves.

Yeah, you lose some potential gold from not getting a HoG eariler, but you get so much mana regen that you can spam your abilities without worrying about mana. It also helps considerably against lanes with magic dmg poke. This is also at lower ELO where oracles never get bought early and I can get by buying only a few wards

It's inentional that you only fill 5 slots so you can keep the 6th open for wards right? So what are the instances where you would want to go wota over zekes and vice versa.
Question: If you never truly intend to upgrade HoG, then why not pick up Kage's Pick instead for that second item? Is the health more important on Sona than they extra AP from the Pick for her abilities?
