A much needed update I found the old build I was using was very out dated ;p Great guide

I just pulled a wonderful game with Taric, but instead of using what was intended from this guide, I went full tank/Ap with different builds. read thorny mail and would flash right into the fight, ult, E run aways, and w when we need the extra kick. Needless to say, I pulled like a 11/13/38 (with first kill) and saved so many lives. Darius is a wonderful counter against him, though. The game lasted an hour :O. Btw, a good tag team is Taric, lee sin (aggressive and passive), teemo, and master Yi.  jax or Fiora would benefit with him.

Just played him in Ranked for the first time against a Lulu and Draven with a Ashe ADC. Was 3/4/36 at end it! xD I need lots practice warding right but otherwise great Guide Yo! ^.^

Shouldn't you get sightstone before philosopher's stone? Saving money on wards is more worth it than gold per 10

  • #49 VirusKid

Philosopher's Stone is not only taken for extra gold, but for the mana regeneration which helps you to stay in your lane for longer and poke the enemy. If you feel so, you can take sightstone before philosopher's stone. It depends on the situation, your team and duo partner.

When I play taric with my duo partner, I only put 1 ward from time to time when we feel that their jungle is enough strong to really poke us hard. Otherwise, I just save money for other items instead of wards and wait for mid game when i'm already tanky and got sightstone upgraded. Thought, I got my own build and way to play Taric so not sure about how this guide would work with my playstyle.

I'm a little confused...on the Quick Guide, your Item Build for early game looks like Emblem of Valor --> Boots of Speed --> Philosopher's Stone --> Sightstone --> Aegis of the Legion, but on the Item Build section it looks like Boots of Speed --> Emblem of Valor --> Sightstone --> Aegis of the Legion --> Philosopher's Stone.

Could you elaborate on which one's the latest version, and why you went with one way over the other way?

So for taric I like to run 0/13/17, picking up the 5 damage reduction from champs and more hp.  Could you explain how your masteries might better benefit with the 1/7/22 over the ones I mentioned?

  • #44 Jesonomi

My guess if that the damage reduction honestly isn't all that important, as with this build, you'll end up with quite a large amount of armor, and a fair amount of health regardless. So the defense itself isn't as important, especially since your heal heals yourself too, and it's for a fair amount when maxed. The Utility point and the things you can get... really helpful when supporting. I honestly haven't had very much trouble surviving with less points in the defense tree, and the other points definitely have helped when supporting.

i personally pick up frozen heart for added tankiness, is this bad or just better to pick up other items

  • #38 LiQuiD112

It depends, typically you want the AURA build on taric to make your team SUPER TANKY.

Why don't pick magic resist per level runes instead of just magic resist? because when you go support bot you will against a lot of ad dmg and few ap dmg and at late game you will need those magic resist when you will go to some team fight and will die easily by the enemy caster ...

Because some supports are like Nidalee and Lux?

The first part that you remade is still in the video Elementz.

  • #31 KivsNBits

Just so you know masteries in the video don't match up with the ones you put on the guide.

7/0/30 following this Season 3 build. Nothing bad, uh?
