Well, I think hes not a slow jungler, ive farmed my jungle once for 10 minutes, got 3 Kills by ganking and got 3k money without teleporting to base. I think hes probably a very usefull jungler, because of his hungering strike and the tankyness ...

Sorry for my english, not my motherlanguage

Another possible way to play warwick is to just farm the jungle until you get a wriggles leading to a a feral flare before ganking. for this you will want to max your w first for the jungle clear and only leave then jungle if you have a very good chance for a kill or to hold a lane for a teammate. This will cause enemies to underestimate you because they have not fought against you much so they dont know what you are capable of because the 200 magic damage PER auto attack from a somewhat stacked feral flare is HUGE for fights

This guide hasn't been updated as of the Feral Flare patch yet. It should be up soon! :)

Four core items? I assume the full build is Wriggles / Wit's End / BORK / Merc Treads / Spirit Visage / Frozen Heart for 2.50 Attack Speed (using W) end game and 40% CDR for the ultimate.

Some questions about the guide, is 0/21/9 viable? For intermediate damage (say you are behind) is there value in getting Doran's Ring(s)?

  • #72 EpicEpidemic

Why are the quints different in the quick guide part than the rune explanation section?

  • #74 daft_inquisitor

    They aren't different anymore.

However, it does bother me that his guide says to use glyphs of scaling MR, but he has scaling AP physically shown on each the front page and the runes breakdown...

  • #70 devioustrickster

why does the item build never change, there have been enough patches since this guide was last redone

  • #71 Qzar13

Well it won't be that much different, luckily, just build your hp items before finishing resists (frozen mallet, randuins, spirit of golem, or warmogs before frozen heart and wits end). You should be building randuins omen a lot more now too. With the addition of spirit of golem, wriggles is optional. Going spirit of golem opens up more boot options like ninja tabi, which is nice since tabi's percent reduction is more important now with the armor pen changes. Still get an early glacial shroud.

Edit: Almost forgot to mention, blade of the ruined king is a strong item on warwick and fits into his build nicely, and since mercury treads is often enough magic resist you can get it instead of wits end. I wouldn't recommend getting more than one or two damage items at most, because you need to be very tanky.

If t take flash and smite in the jungle, why should i put a point in "Summoner's Wrath"? That point has to go with "Fury"

    Really need an update :/

  • #68 Pornflakes01

You should be taking ghost, not flash... You'll be much more effective pre-6. Not to mention, you can catch up to the team and get a good ult off to catch someone out. Ghost > Flash.

  • #69 Qzar13

Flash is better. The area you can chase them in is much smaller early game before any towers go down, and they can just flash before you reach them because pre-6 warwick ganks will always be bad. Flash is better the rest of the game to close the gap instantly from use your ultimate from far away, so they don't have a chance to react. Also in most fights you have the speed boost from your e to run fast so ghost isn't needed. Even more, flash can escape or chase over walls and ghost can't.

Edit:accidentally put edit for other post here, fix'd

Can we have an update plz?

There are many new things to consider, especially for botrk, even if all Warwick's players don't like it.
There is also a lot of inconsistency:
      - We can read "boots speed" but we do not see it.
      - There are only 5 items on the Homepage page.
      - You recommend a second "Wit's Ends" in Late Game.
      - Why AP glyphs and penetrations when you recommend others in the text?

Note: Try to be strict a bit your guide please. I am French, and sometimes I struggle to grasp.

Edit : we can read in leaguepedia "His favorite champion is Warwick" so plz, do a better guide :p

I agree, but the reason i needed updated is because of the effect of nasher tooth( I know it has nothing to do with the guide),

The nasher tooth was changed , and the khazix and hecarim has been change, so Liquid or saint, we need this guide updated

runes in quick guide and the runes in the mastery and rune page aren't the same.

Quick guide shows scaling AP, and the other page shows scaling MR.

  • #61 gwjw2000

    No bloodthirster or BoTRK?

  • #62 JioDerako

BotRK might work out nicely, probably replacing Wriggles; five procs during his ult is pretty nice, kinda like how Bloodrazor was on him back in the day. I wouldn't bother with BT though unless you're snowballing and spending a lot of time autoattacking things; none of his skills scale off of AD, unless you count Hunter's Call giving him AS (in which case the on-hit from BotRK is still probably better). The fact that his passive also loves AS makes the BotRK a much better choice than BT.

Warwick doesn't scale very well into late-game as a damage dealer, he's only got two damage-dealing skills and one of them is his ult. His late-game is usually best spent itemizing as a tank; Frozen Heart for the aura and CDR, Wit's End adds a bunch of damage onto his ult while still giving defensive stats, etc.
You're trying to maximize killing potential with your mid-game ganks (post-six), then transition into a tank or split-push role, abusing the heal on Q, boosting the team with W and using the ult to initiate and/or lock down the enemy carry. The tankier you can get using only jungle gold, the better.

I'm a tad confused, what use is summoners wrath if you use smite and flash in this build?
